Historical Development of CALL(Computer Assisted Language Learning)

Historical development of CALL can be briefly explained in 3 developmental stages. (behavioristic CALL, communicative CALL, integrative CALL)
Behavioristic CALL focuses on accurancy. Computers are used as the tutor. Here is a video to show you how behavioristic approach effeced CALL.

Next stage is Communicative CALL, which focuses on the meaning and process. Attention was more on communitative practice rather than grammer. computers are used  as a tool to make complex learning projcts more easier.

The last stage is Integrative CALL which focuses on student-centered learning, on helping students become autonomous learners. Computers are served as a tool for online communication,learning, information management.
